Cornerstone OnDemand, based in Santa Monica, Calif., is aimed at providing better management of recruitment, onboarding, performance and goals, learning, social collaboration, analytics, compensation and succession. It offers a software module for each of these learning and talent management functions.
While all employees in an organization typically use Cornerstone OnDemand's software, HRM, recruiting and learning professionals, in particular, can benefit from the automation of key talent processes and resulting organizational efficiencies.
The software also helps align processes such as learning with performance and goals and succession planning. It is aimed at providing deeper insights into the workforce, allowing organizations to make smarter decisions about talent.
In 2015 the company unveiled Cornerstone Insights, which is a suite of predictive analytics applications. The initial release included dashboards that allow talent managers to predict which employees might fall out of compliance with organizational, state or federal regulations and to identify which employees who might be good candidates for open positions.
